Great place

This was our first trip to Cuba also first All Inclusive holiday - we had a great holiday. We travelled with a 9yr old and 13yr old - they loved the activities around the pool, pool tables, snorkelling at the beach. We found our room clean and spacious. Everyone was very friendly. Lovely sandy beach - we did take water shoes a little rocky getting into water but then its sandy and clear water. Plenty of choices at the buffet - we also ate at 3 A la Carte restaurants which we would also recommend. We will return.

We are coming for our 4th stay at PCV in Feb. 13, and we can hardly wait! Our home away from home, thanks to the great staff. We have made very good friendships with some of the employees there, genuine friendships. The food is good, especially if you go to the areas where they cook on the spot. Lots of entertainment, but, best of all, a great beach! Love it. I absolutely love Cuba!

This was our first trip to Cuba. I had read some reviews and was a little concerned....but once we were there we had an amazing time! We had our 5 year old daughter with us for my brother's wedding. We will definately be back. Excellent service, clean rooms and very friendly maintenance staff! The only issue was that the sower takes awhile to warm up. Other than that we had a great time!

Dissappointed repeat guest

Last year my husband and I spent two wonderful weeks there. We really enjoyed our trip. So when we were planning our 2012 trip we decided to return. However, this year the service was very disappointing.

We arrived on March 30 to find the hotel did not recognize us as repeat guests. When I questioned this, reception stated I would have to come back the next day to speak with guest services. I did this and had to wait 15-20 minutes as they couldn’t find the person who was working there. This is not the way we wanted to start our vacation.

When we arrived we found we had a 1st floor room,and not the a 2nd floor as requested. The shower rod was broken and laying in the tub. We had to make a shower rod with the clothes lines just so we could take a shower. The bathroom smelled very badly of sewage as the sewage tank was outside the window and obviously needed to be emptied.

We didn’t have any bottled water in the room and I had to request this three times before I got a bottle.

We met a lady there who paid for a standard room but was upgraded to a suite. This was her first visit to Playa Costa Verde. She received water and rum in her room daily. As a repeat guest I would think I should have received this upgrade not a first time guest.

As a repeat guest I was told my reservations should have been made for the a la carte restaurants so that I was guaranteed a reservation. This was not done either.

I had a massage while there and was informed I would receive a 20% discount because I was a repeat guest. The massage therapist did not give me the discount-even though I wore a pink bracelet. I understand honeymooners also wear the same colored bracelet and do not receive the discount but he could have asked me. As this was my first time having a massage there I didn’t know the process to follow. I expected the front desk to make the adjustment when I paid for the massage. When I was checking out I paid for the massage and they wouldn’t give me the discount. Reception called guest services who stated I would have to go find the massage therapist and get him to change the slip. Meanwhile my bus to take me to the airport was waiting for me. Guest services knew I was a repeat guest and that repeat guest get 20% off but they still would not give me the discount.

I was traveling with other repeat guest who received the benefits which my husband and I did not. I did not feel valued as a repeat guest at all. The only benefit we had during the whole week was late checkout. This is terrible customer service. The buffet staff, bar staff, garden staff, vendors, and a la carte reservations staff were all wonderful. However, the front desk staff were rude and didn’t appear to care my trip was less than satisfactory.

12 th Visit to Playa Costa Verde

We go to PCV about 2 times a year and every time we say this place can\'t get any better the folks at PCV surprise us. There are always positive changes there some small like the snack cart that comes around the pool between means with refreshing fruit or tangy rice dishes to big changes like adding a perminant shoppers market near the snack bar. We just love it where you can be guaranteed the people are friendly and the water at the pool or sea is always inviting. The beer tent where you will find Dixie is always a treat in the evenings. We never had a problem with food as the buffeet and ala-carts are always on top of things. All in all this is the best place in Cuba or else we couldn\'t have gone here so many times.

Coming back 2012 3rd time

Anyone who goes here will not be disappointed. The resort is well cared for, the staff are friendly, there is a wide variety of food, the al la carte's are great. The beach is beautiful, the pool is great. Hard to find anything wrong here. Remember this is Cuba, relax and enjoy. Stress free.

booking our 3rd trip!!

We came here in 2010 for our honeymoon and couldnt have asked for a better place!! the staff are lovely and very helpful, the maids are brilliant in the rooms, the whole place was nice and relaxing, we were given a honeymoon suit with champagne to celebrate too. We loved it so much we booked again in 2011 for our first wedding anniversary, we got a bottle of rum for being return guests and also another bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversay and a congratulations card. We've been trying to decide for ages where to take our 14 year old for her first abroad holiday next year and weve concluded that pcv is definatly the place!! cant wait to return next year!!
